Zoo Tour
Although consumers have only seen the name "Red Zoo" for a few years, the tradition behind the name stems back over 80 years when Alex Colasanti immigrated to Canada from Italy.

Inside Red Zoo
Red Zoo is a fast paced distributor of hydroponically grown vegetables as well as a variety of Ontario Grown Field Products. Red Zoo Marketing is focused on continually evolving to provide retailers and consumers with new ideas, products and value.

Where Is Red Zoo
Ruthven, Ontario is located in the heart of the Great Lakes. The cool northern climate is one advantage you can only find in Red Zoo Country.

When growing in a closed and controlled environment, the only element that cannot be controlled reasonably is heat. In Ruthven, during the most critical time in a young seedlings growth, we heat our facility to create the most ideal temperature possible for strong growth

The area surrounding Ruthven, including Kingsville to the west, and Leamington to the east are home to roughly one third of Canada and the United States total greenhouse coverage. At over 800 acres, this area has seen extensive growth in subsidiary industries creating a safety net found nowhere else in North America. From shipping and packaging, to specialized mechanics and supplies, the heart of the greenhouse industry can be found within 10 minutes of our main distribution facility.
